BARRY ROWAN, EVP & CFO, Cool Planet Energy Systems
Barry currently serves as EVP & CFO of Cool Planet Energy Systems, a large-scale start-up company commercializing a proprietary technology to produce high octane gasoline from non-food biomass. He has helped build technology companies across a range of industries in senior executive positions, serving as CFO for three public companies including Vonage Corporation & Nextel Partners which was sold to Sprint for $10 billion. Barry earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1983, and his B.S. in Business Administration and Chemical Biology, summa cum laude, from The College of Idaho in 1979. He is married to Linda, his best friend and wife of over thirty years, and they have two sons, Mark and David, both in their twenties. Their family has led six trips to Central America with Harvard Graduate students to “walk with the poor” in recent years.
DIANE PADDISON, Founder & President, 4word
Diane currently serves as the Founder and President of 4word, 4wordwomen.org, a ministry reaching “working women” with over 2 million unique visitors. She also serves on two for profit company boards and three other not for profit boards including The Salvation Army’s National Advisory Board. Prior to this, Diane was the COO for Trammell Crow Company and ProLogis, President of Corporate Services as CBRE, and Chief Strategy Officer at Cassidy Turley. She has her MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelors of Science from Oregon State University. She is married to Chris and they have four children, two professionals and two college students, Christian, Annie, Rose and Gus, respectively.
ANDY WASYNCZUK, Professor, Harvard Business School
Andy Wasynczuk joined the faculty of Harvard Business School in the spring of 2005 and has taught a wide range of negotiation courses in the required and elective MBA curriculum. Andy came to HBS after sixteen years with the New England Patriots and Gillette Stadium serving as the Chief Operating Officer of both entities. He received his MBA from HBS in 1983. Andy and his wife, Rebecca, have four children, live in Westwood, MA, and are active at Redeemer Church in Needham, MA.
JOCELYN SCRIBANO, Regulatory Affairs Specialist, Gamesa Energy USA
Jocelyn works in Business Development, as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, at Gamesa Energy USA. Prior to joining Gamesa, Jocelyn worked at American Electric Power on their joint venture with Mid American Energy Holdings, Electric Transmission Texas. Jocelyn has also worked as a transportation and logistics consultant with The Tioga Group, and in Marketing for Conrail. Jocelyn earned her MBA from Harvard Business School in 1986 and her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Lehigh University in 1982. Jocelyn and her husband Phil live in Devon, Pennsylvania, have 4 children, and have been active with Young Life for the past 14 years.
JOHN COLEMAN, President
John is a 2010 graduate of the Harvard Business School and the Kennedy School of Government. Raised in Florida and Georgia, he attended Berry College as an undergraduate and currently lives in Atlanta with his wife Jackie.
TARA LAJUMOKE, Vice President
Tara Lajumoke (class of 2011) is a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Co and has worked mainly on strategy projects with several Healthcare, Finance & Consumer organisations. She previously spent 4 years working in Goldman Sachs’ London & New York offices. In 2009 she was awarded the Fulbright scholarship and accepted into Harvard Business School’s MBA programme. She is also a business mentor for the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women Entrepreneurs. She was born in Nigeria and now lives in London with her husband, Folarin and their 3 children.
MICHAEL LAGE, Communications Director
Michael is a 2011 graduate of HBS. Michael leads Mobile & Customer Relationship Strategy at Chick-fil-A in Atlanta, Georgia. He has previous experience in Brand Marketing at Facebook and Online Sales at Google. Michael graduated from the University of Georgia. He lives in Atlanta with his wife Monica and daughter Hannah, where they attend City Church Eastside.
CHRISTIAN HEMPELL, Treasurer
Christian graduated from Harvard Business School in 2003 and completed undergraduate studies at the Hotel School at Cornell University. A California native and Atlanta resident, Christian joined InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in 2003 and leads the Sales and Marketing Commercial Development and Corporate Partnerships team. He married Brooke in 1999 and has 2 children. His family attends City Church Eastside (PCA) in Atlanta. Christian is also on the Board of Redeemer Presbyterian Church's City to City church planting organization in New York.
JEFF BARNESON, Student Relations Director
Jeff is a 1995 graduate of the Kennedy School and a Harvard Chaplain serving with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship - Graduate and Faculty Ministries. He has been advisor to the Harvard Graduate School Christian Fellowships since 1983. Yikes! Before coming to Cambridge he completed degrees at Denver Seminary and Stanford. He married up and, along with his wife Tara Edelschick, they have two boys, Zachary and Ezra.
TAYLOR LARSON, Alumni Relations
Taylor graduated from HBS in 2009 and works as a consultant with McKinsey & Company. He lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife Lacy.
